The Design Vision
Mutiny began as our first attempt to tackle horror under the constraints of the pandemic.
We deliberately embraced the visual novel as a strength: a format that allowed us to push gore, tone, and emotional intensity while controlling pacing with precision. Instead of relying on action or jumpscares, the experience focuses on dread, anticipation, and narrative pressure, using choice and presentation to shape the player’s discomfort.
